Despite the growing interest in neglected and underutilized species around the world, recent research highlights the need for more West African studies on how policies and governance can support the conservation and promotion of NUS in the region. The National Agenda for Neglected and Underutilized Species (NUS) in Ghana aims to fill the identified policy gap. It is based on a national consultation process facilitated by the NUS Network of Ghana and the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ghana. The National Agenda has six interrelated action areas and 34 actions.
