This FAO/IFAD study analyses and highlights the current structure of the world cassava economy, with emphasis on production, utilization, trade and prices. It also draws attention to factors affecting future developments, including the results of the Uruguay Round of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade. In addition, the publication outlines some of the constraints to the sector's expansion and suggests areas for action to enhance the further development of the world cassava economy.
