This document is the final report of the Seventh Session of the Sub-Committee for the Protection and Development of the Fisheries in the Sahelian Zone, which was held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, from 3 to 6 July 2000. Major topics discussed were: seminar on livelihoods and fisheries management in the Sahelian Zone; opportunities for the integration of irrigation and aquaculture; major issues of post-harvest practices in the sub-region.
