Mali, a largely rural West African country with a young population, faces interconnected challenges of poverty, conflict, and climate shocks that threaten rural livelihoods and food security. Given these conditions, effective communication is crucial to empower communities, bridge information gaps, and enhance resilience, and this factsheet examines Mali’s media and telecommunications landscape to guide inclusive and targeted approaches within FAO’s emergency and resilience programmes.
