Con el objeto de conocer los valores hematológicos normales para los bovinos del Valle del Sinú, situado al noreste de Colombia y cuya altura oscila entre cero y cincuenta metros sobre el nivel del mar, se realizó un estudio en 333 bovinos de cruce Cebú x Criollo. Las muestras se procesaron siguiendo Ia metodología descrita en las principales fuentes de referencia y los resultados se sometieron a análisis de varianza para comparación de diferentes grupos de sexo y edades. Con base en la información obtenida en este estudio, se indican los márgenes de variación hallados y se establecen los promedios hematologicos normales que corresponden a los bovinos del Valle del Sinú
Hematologic values in cattle from the Sinu Valley The object of this work was to detennine the normal hematologic values of cattle in the Sinu Valley, region located at the northeast of Colombia with an altitude ranging from 0 to 50 meters above sea level. Samples were taken from a total of 333 bovine (Cebu x Criollo), and processed according to the methodology already described by several authors, and analysis of variance was performed to compare results obtained from the different groups by sex and age. Based on this study the mean normal hematologic values and the range of variation of cattle from the Sinu Valley were established.
