The purpose of the questionnaire was to make a "rapid survey" regarding the status of forest information systems including database management, GIS and decision support systems within the 26 project countries. Besides this, some issues regarding how MAR activities are organized in each country were included in the study. The questionnaire was elaborated in January 2010 by the author in cooperation with a few officers at FAO. It was sent to the focal points of the 26 member countries. Responding countries were: New Zealand, Indonesia, Viet Nam, Thailand, Cambodia, China, India, PNG (Papua New Guinea), Lao PDR and Japan.
