Report of the regional biosafety workshop held from 30 November to 4 December 2009 in Bangkok, Thailand attended by representatives from 13 countries in Asia. The aim of the workshop was to enhance the capacity of member countries by providing up-to-date information on different aspects of biosafety and to ensure that farmers and governments can make better decisions on how to use the results of technological developments while protecting farmers, consumers and the environment.
