dc.descriptionA new species of soft scale insect from Colombia and Venezuela, Toumeyella coffeae Kondo sp. nov., is described and illustrated based on the adult female. A taxonomic key to the genera of scale insects of the Toumeyella-group and a list of 49 soft scale insect (Coccidae) species recorded from Coffea spp. worldwide are provided.
