dc.descriptionThe workshop Effective and Sustainable Seed Relief Activities was held at FAO headquarters, Rome, 26 28 May, 2003. The aim of the workshop was to improve the effectiveness of seed relief interventions and the contribution they can make to sustainable improvements in seed, food and livelihood security. The workshop brought together over 70 stakeholders from FAO, relief agencies, donors, technical organizations and emergency-prone countries to exchange lessons learned in the area of seed relief, t o identify gaps and needs in the development of tools, guidance and methodologies, and to agree on recommendations for further collaborative work.
