Descripción
The project was developed to support the establishment and operation of production cooperatives in rural areas. This is a government priority, reflected in such state programmes as the Strategic Vision and Roadmap for Azerbaijan 2020-2025, the State Programme of Socioeconomic Development of the Regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2019-2023 and Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socioeconomic Development.Through comprehensive policy and legislative reviews, strategic recommendations and targeted capacity-building activities, cooperatives have gained enhanced governance, management and business planning capabilities. Key interventions have empowered cooperatives to operate more efficiently, expand market access and adopt innovative practices. At institutional level, policymakers and government officials have been equipped with a deeper understanding of cooperative principles and best practices, encouraging the creation of a supportive regulatory and operational framework.
