Examines court records in the Zangon Katab district of Nigeria to identify trends in land use problems over time between the various ethnic groups in the district, mentioning the characteristics of the traditional land use system and court cases involving crop damage & land dispute, with particular reference to the incidence of court cases between 1960 & 1970, ethnic groups involved and estimated & awarded damages.
