| dc.description | This project is designed to support the African Union Commission in the implementation of the GGWSSI in the framework of the first action plan (2008-2010) of the Africa-European Union strategic partnership (under theme six-Climate change) that was adopted in Lisbon in December 2007 during the second European Union-Africa Summit as well as the Joint Africa EU Strategy Action Plan 2011-2013 adopted in 2010 in Tripoli. It also provides a logical follow-up to the joint AUC-EC pre-feasibility study t o assess the scope and pre-feasibility of the GGWSSI, completed in June 20092. The proposed project responds to a number of key recommendations of this study. | |
