An overview of the fisheries and aquaculture information resources available or produced in Africa has been compiled using the CDS/ISIS software. The Directory includes details of the information resources and services of international organizations, regional bodies and networks; and national institutions and organizations in Africa. Fisheries and aquaculture periodicals and newsletters published in Africa are listed, as well as brief details of relevant Internet sites. The main purpose of the D irectory is to facilitate more effective dissemination of fisheries and aquaculture information and to promote collaboration and information-resource sharing activities between fisheries institutions in ica.
