dc.descriptionThe Manual aims to contribute to a more socially and environmentally sustainable banana production and trade with improved standards of living (in particular in relation to health and natural resource access) for male and female banana workers, farmers and surrounding communities. Worker, unions and employer representatives will form well informed and fully functioning and effective workplace health and safety committees in partner owned and supplier farms in Ecuador. The Manual has been adopted by the Ecuadorian government. The Manual will contribute to FAO's SO3 - Outcome Strengthened social protection systems.
