This learning note summarizes the Food Systems Transformation Decision Supporting (FSDS) Process piloted in Vietnam's Dong Thap and Son La provinces. Key achievements include establishing Provincial Inter-sectoral Working Groups to break down departmental silos and creating practical guidelines and profiles for local food systems. The process successfully translated national policy into a formal Provincial Implementation Plan in Son La. Lessons learned emphasize multi-stakeholder engagement, participatory capacity building, and the need to adapt decision-support tools to local contexts.
