The Republic of Korea is a growing donor, having steadily increased its official development assistance in recent years. Agriculture remains a top priority sector
for development cooperation, as seen in the country’s 2018 International Development Cooperation Plan. The sector’s specific focus on improving the self-reliance of
rural areas very much mirrors some of the key values embedded in FAO’s Strategic Framework.
