Resumen

Descripción

The AI Co-Scientist Framework is a comprehensive initiative aimed at integrating advanced artificial intelligence (AI) within CGIAR's research processes to enhance scientific capabilities. The framework aligns with CGIAR Strategy 2030 and addresses the complexity and scale of food, land, and water (FLW) systems research. It emphasizes the augmentation of human researchers through AI, supporting hypothesis generation, evidence synthesis, and scenario exploration. The framework establishes shared AI capabilities, robust governance, and a portfolio-based operating model. It includes a phased implementation roadmap from 2026 onward, focusing on foundational capabilities, expansion, and institutionalization. The framework aims to accelerate scientific discovery, improve research quality, and ensure responsible and ethical AI integration, ultimately contributing to CGIAR's mission of transforming FLW systems in a climate crisis.
