The 20th issue of FAO Turkiye focuses on forestry activities, with a useful file on FAO's sustainable forestry activities and projects in Turkey. Topics include the Green Wall in Africa as part of the FTPP, forestry work with Central Asian countries. Results of the Düzce Land Degradation Neutrality Project. The dossier also introduces the project for the development of non-timber forest products, which has just started under the TCP. There is also detailed information on the Cooperation Programme in this issue. It describes the support given to 30 women-led cooperatives in different provinces of Turkiye and the plans for the future. The new Farmer Fileld School in Izmir and Manisa are now open for the new training cycle, providing farmers with training on water-stressed production models. A technical cooperation project launched by FAO and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to support small-scale food producers in Türkiye. The project, entitled “Food Safety and Nutrition Capacity Development to Support Small-Scale Producers in Shortening Food Supply Chains”, emphasizes the pivotal role of small-scale producers in the transformation of agrifood systems.
