This final evaluation of the four-year US$2,579, 511 Agribusiness Support for Smallholders (AbSS) Project was carried out in January and February 2014. The purpose of the evaluation was to draw specific conclusions and formulate recommendations for any necessary further action by Government, FAO and/or other parties. The evaluation was expected to identify specific good practices that validate the approach, fine tune the concept, and assess the potential for follow-up or up-scaling action and le ssons to be learned for the formulation and execution of other similar projects.
