Therefore, our aim was to report, for the first time, the occurrence of P. citri attacking tubers of C. esculentus. Observations were conducted in an experimental area of the Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV), in the Zona da Mata region of Minas Gerais, Brazil, over two cycles in 2023. In this area, experiments were being conducted to evaluate the development of technologies for the cultivation of C. esculentus in the Zona da Mata region of Minas Gerais.
