Tercer día del seminario web dedicado al control y erradicación de la tuberculosis bovina en América del Norte, coordinado por la red de colaboración PROCINORTE. El encuentro analiza la relevancia de esta zoonosis para la producción ganadera, el comercio internacional y la salud pública, evaluando las estrategias de diagnóstico, trazabilidad y control de movilización en México y Canadá. Asimismo, se examina el papel de la fauna silvestre como reservorio natural del patógeno, el uso de análisis genéticos para el rastreo de cepas y la necesidad de abordar esta enfermedad desatendida bajo el enfoque integral de "Una Sola Salud".
Third day of the webinar dedicated to the control and eradication of bovine tuberculosis in North America, coordinated by the PROCINORTE collaboration network. The event analyzes the relevance of this zoonosis for livestock production, international trade, and public health, evaluating diagnostic, traceability, and movement control strategies in Mexico and Canada. Additionally, it examines the role of wildlife as a natural reservoir for the pathogen, the use of genetic analysis for strain tracking, and the necessity of addressing this neglected disease under the comprehensive "One Health" approach.
