dc.descriptionThis project fact sheet summarizes the key aspects of this project (Cash assistance for averting famine and strengthening emergency livelihoods), objective, budget, geographical scope, people assisted, assistance modalities, crosscutting issues and SDGs contribution. The key objective of this project is to provide cash- based assistance for safeguarding food and nutrition security, as well as ensuring emergency agriculture livelihoods protection in order to mitigate the risk of further deterioration of the food security situation and avoid sliding into famine. 67 500 households across 16 provinces will receive assistance thanks to funding provided by the UN Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF), managed by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
