The project's efforts contributed to the strengthening of the foundations for increasing intra-African agricultural trade by supporting the development of CAAPs as a framework for large-scale agro-processing and value addition. This initiative contributed to a clearer strategic direction, stronger coordination, and increased political interest and commitment among AU Member States and partners to invest in CAAPs. As a result, continental efforts towards more competitive agro-industries and improved regional agricultural markets progressed.
