Newsletter 2 for 2017 will contain stories on FAO’s work in the Philippines, including a new government-funded FAO project to upscale efforts on climate-resilient agri-fisheries; accelerating agricultural development to contribute to peace-building in Mindanao; adressing the drop in tilapia production as a result of climate change; establishing an integrated decision-support system for enhanced production and risk management in agriculture; dynamic conservation and sustainable use of agrobiodive rsity in traditional agroecosystems of the Philippines under the Global Environment Facility (GEF); enhancing the governance of tenure of land, fisheries and forests in the Philippines; sustainable forest management and restoration in the Philippines and the FAO-EU Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) project.
