Descripción
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), runs the FAO Regular Volunteer (FRV) Programme to provide opportunities for individuals to contribute their voluntary actions, where suitable, to support FAO’s Strategic Objectives and UN Sustainable Development Goals. The Programme proactively and strategically mobilizes broad-based voluntary services of citizens of the Member States, especially from the Global South, to contribute to achieving FAO goals. FAO’s FRV programme provides a unique opportunity to qualified candidates from member states to engage in a mutually beneficial experience, based on the spirit of volunteerism. For FAO, a stream of young, energetic and highly competent volunteers from across the globe within its ranks, infuses its organizational culture with innovation and enthusiasm. The duration of a volunteer assignment is up to 11 months. FAO does not provide any remunerations to FRVs.
