| dc.description | Training of scientists and extensionists at CIAT headquarters in the development, testing, and promotion of new breeding lines and agronomic practices continued to receive high priority in the bean program. A total of 180 scientists from El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Peru, Honduras, and Colombia were trained this year in on-farm research. Seventy-six scientists from the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa received training in various disciplines. Data are included on training provided at CIAT in specific disciplines and the no. of man-mo. of training provided by CIAT, by country; a list is included with name of trainee, country, institution, discipline, supervisor, and scientist-mo. at the bean program. | dc.description | La capacitacion de cientificos y extensionistas en la sede principal del CIAT en el desarrollo, la prueba y la promocion de nuevas lineas mejoradas y practicas agronomicas siguio recibiendo una alta prioridad en el programa de frijol. Este ano se capacito un total de 180 cientificos de El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Peru, Honduras y Colombia, en investigacion en fincas. Setenta y seis cientificos de America, Europa, Asia y Africa recibieron capacitacion en diversas disciplinas. Se incluyen datos sobre la capacitacion suministrada en CIAT en disciplinas especificas y el no. de hombres-mes de capacitacion suministrado por CIAT, por pais; se incluye una lista con el nombre del investigador visitante, pais, institucion, disciplina, supervisor y cientifico-mes en el programa de frijol.
