The inheritance of resistance to leaf blast [Pyricularia grisea (Cooke) Sacc.] in three somaclones of the upland rice cultivar "Araguaia" was studied. Artificial inoculations were made with spore suspension of race IB-45 of P. grisea on 21-day old plants of FI, F2, BCI and F2:3 generations of crosses between three resistant somaclones and the susceptible cultivars "Araguaia" and "IAC 201".
