The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), a lead partner of the Global Forest Observations Initiative (GFOI), hosted the webinar “Learning opportunities for all: Strengthening forest data for better reporting.” Held on 26 November 2024, the webinar was developed as a part of the Accelerating Innovative Monitoring for Forests (AIM4Forests) programme and the “Building global capacity to increase transparency in the forest sector (CBIT-Forest)” project. The webinar aimed to highlight the importance of multipurpose national forest inventories; present the e-Learning series and results of the National Forest Inventory online facilitated course; and share testimonials from Kenya, Benin and Brazil who took the various courses of the series. This webinar is being held in parallel with the weeklong series of workshops that FAO is hosting at its headquarters in Rome, Italy, from 25 to 28 November 2024 in collaboration with GFOI partners.
