The Science and Innovation Forum (SIF) 2024 Report captures the key outcomes and insights from one of the cornerstone events of the World Food Forum (WFF), held from 14–18 October 2024. Under the theme “Inclusive Science and Innovation for Agrifood Systems Transformation, Leaving No One Behind,” the report explores how inclusive, equitable, and accessible science and innovation can drive sustainable change in global agrifood systems.The report is structured around three impactful deep dives that reflect the diverse ways science, technology and innovation are shaping agrifood systems. Community-driven innovation highlights the power of local knowledge and grassroots solutions in addressing agrifood system challenges. Digital agriculture explores how emerging technologies such as AI and data-driven tools are transforming farming practices, improving efficiency, and enhancing resilience. Meanwhile, biotechnologies examine the responsible and inclusive application of scientific advancements to improve crop yields, sustainability, and food security. The report also examines the barriers to adoption, how we can overcome them along with exploring how we can bring impact at scale. The report brings together voices from Nobel laureates, scientists, youth, farmers, and policymakers to highlight real-world innovations that are shaping a more resilient and equitable future for food and agriculture.
