This document presents selected highlights from FAO’s first report on early implementation of the International FAO Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring (InFARM) system, making its key findings more accessible to a wider audience. Covering 2023–2024, these highlights describe the early implementation of the InFARM system, including its piloting, validation, global launch and first open call for AMR data, while summarizing key achievements, challenges and priorities for strengthening AMR surveillance in animals, food and production environments.
