Burkina Faso is committed to delivering under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and its Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF), but it is hindered by organizational and technical constraints.
Thanks to a successful strategy of coordination between state actors and international agencies, FAO has recently boosted the country’s technical capacities on the national GHG inventory to respond effectively to the requirements of the ETF, a process that can inspire other countries to walk a similar path in preparation for the first Biennial Transparency Report (BTR).
