The document has the presentation in Portuguese and the development content in English Research confirms viroid-like RNAs as the cause of fatal yellowing. The recommendation is made to take the viroid-like RNAs and isolate them from trees in large quantities and they should be used to inoculate young seedlings grown in tissue culture to stabilize their infectious nature. Also, since the nucleic acid extraction procedure developed in the consulting period is acceptable for seeds, it would be important to screen dormant seeds, germinating seeds, or seedlings under controlled conditions.
