dc.descriptionEnglish version: The Project aims to support the development of the cotton value chain and family farming in the member or associated countries of Mercosur and Haiti; supporting the alleviation of rural poverty by promoting sustainable production/diversification systems, carrying out activities within the context of South-South Cooperation and strengthening institutional capacities. Additionally, the project seeks to contribute to food security to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MD Gs), especially the eradication of rural poverty and hunger, promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women in agriculture, as well as the guarantee of environmental sustainability.
