dc.descriptionEn este informe 2019-2020, la ComisiónvEconómica paravAmérica Latina y el Caribev(CEPAL), la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura (FAO) y el Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (IICA) plantean un enfoque intersectorial de “doble vía”, que, en primer lugar, llame al reconocimiento de que no es posible superar la pobreza ni combatir el hambre, la malnutrición y el cambio climático, si las sociedades y los actores políticos de ALC no plantean lo rural como motor del desarrollo económico, social y ambiental en los países y, en segundo lugar, invite a considerar la agricultura y sus actividades relacionadas como indispensables para desarrollar otras actividades económicas complementarias que promuevan el desarrollo sostenible de los territorios rurales. El documento brinda información sobre las acciones para la transformación rural y agrícola de América Latina y El Caribe ALC en un escenario mundial y regional desafiante. Además se presenta un contexto mundial y regional, acerca del crecimiento económico, los riesgos de una desaceleración aún más intensa, la ralentización del comercio internacional, del crecimiento de la demanda y la producción agropecuarias, la evolución del comercio y de los precios de los productos agropecuarios. Además, se comenta sobre las acciones claves para la transformación rural y agrícola hacia el desarrollo sostenible e inclusivo en ALC, de las cuales se enfatiza en que sin desarrollo agropecuario no hay desarrollo rural: menú de opciones complementarias y sobre la Institucionalidad para el desarrollo sostenible. Por otra parte, se comenta sobre la Bioeconomía: Potenciando el desarrollo sostenible, su accionar en la agenda 2030 y los avances tecnológicos y productivos.
dc.descriptionIn this 2019-2020 report, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and the InterAmerican Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) propose a “two-way” intersectoral approach to address the aforementioned scenario. In the first place, it calls for acknowledging the fact that it is not possible to overcome poverty or to combat hunger, malnutrition and climate change, unless societies and political stakeholders in LAC begin promoting rural areas as engines for economic, social and environmental development in the countries.Secondly, the proposed approach calls for considering agriculture and related activities as crucial for carrying out other complementary economic activities that foster sustainable development in rural areas. The document provides information on actions for the rural and agricultural transformation of Latin America and the Caribbean LAC in a challenging global and regional scenario. In addition, a global and regional context is presented, regarding economic growth, the risks of an even more intense slowdown, the slowdown in international trade, the growth of demand and agricultural production, the evolution of trade and the prices of products. agricultural.
