The main recipient of Polish fruits of their preparations were EU countries, including the EU-15. In the structure of imports of fresh bananas dominated, and in the import of processed fruit juices concentrated. The main suppliers were the EU countries, mainly Germany, Spain and Italy. The introduction of the embargo by the Russian Federation on 1 August 2014 resulted in a decline in exports of fresh fruit in terms of volume and value, mainly apples.
