dc.descriptionFollowing details of the terms of reference of the consultancy regarding improvement of fish collection, processing and marketing strategies in Maputo, Mozambique, a brief outline is given of the existing state of the industry in order to define existing problems. Areas of concern are identified as: products (artisanal, semi-industrial and industrial), collection, primary processing, distribution and marketing. It is recommended that a new body (The Fish Marketing Board of Maputo) be created res ponsible for fishing fleet support and shore based activities.
