Resumen
Descripción
The South Region of Brazil has a consolidated network of institutions and a legal framework for the implementation of public policies in the fields of sustainable rural development, food security, hunger and poverty reduction, renewable energies and environmental protection. The work of these institutions contributes to the development of successful agricultural practices. However, the knowledge generated is only available locally, limiting its application to the region. It was recognized that these good practices should be made available to other regions in Brazil and to countries with similar development conditions and problems in common. The aim of the project was to promote activities that contributed to the sustainable development of Western Paraná. Through South South cooperation and based on local and territorial experiences, the project supported international cooperation initiatives with countries of the global south, especially Paraguay, Mercosur countries, Latin America and African countries.
