This document has been prepared to establish the terms of reference to framework midterm evaluations (MTE) of two GEF projects implemented by FAO and National Partners in Brazil: “Integrated Management of the Ilha Grande Bay Ecosystem” (GCP/BRA/078/GFF) -onwards BIG Project- and “Strengthening National Policy and Knowledge Framework in Support of Sustainable Management of Brazil´s Forest Resources” (GCP/BRA/079/ GFF) – onwards Forestry Project. The aim of this document is to provide a clear view of the purpose of the evaluations, their framework and methodology and to determine the roles and responsibilities of all the parts involved, in particular of the evaluation team.
