| dc.description | The Workshop was organized as a forum where the stakeholders in the lemuru fishery of Bali Strait could openly discuss the status of the resources and management of the fisheries. The objectives of the workshop were: (a) to assess the status of the resource and its level of exploitation; (b) to review the current management practices of the fisheries (prioritizing the issues to be addressed); and (c) to develop a draft management plan. The Agenda is presented in Appendix III. (4) As the majority of the participants were Indonesian, and to make the deliberations more efficient and productive, the Workshop was conducted in the local language (bahasa Indonesia). Whispered translation and short summaries were provided for the benefit of the FAO staff and consultant. | |
