Iranian pistachios hold a significant position in global markets; however, maintaining and enhancing their competitiveness requires modernization across the supply chain. This Technical Cooperation Programme (TCP), implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), aims to strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Agriculture Jahad and the Deputy of Horticulture in improving integrated pistachio supply chain management. By promoting advanced production technologies, efficient harvesting methods, mechanized processing, and updated quality control measures for mycotoxins, pesticide residues, and other contaminants, the project seeks to enhance the productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of the pistachio value chain at every stage.
