This document is the report of the fourth session of the Continuing Working Party on fishery statistics in the North Atlantic area, held in Rome, 9-12 March 1965. The Expert Meeting on fishery statistics in the North Atlantic area, organized by FAO, co-sponsored by ICES and ICNAF, and held in Edinburgh, Scotland, 22-29 September 1959, recommended in paragraph 91 of its Report (reproduced as Annex A of the above-mentioned document) the formation of a Continuing Working Party on fishery statistics in the North Atlantic area which was established in terms of Resolution no. 23/59 of the 10th Session of the FAO Conference, 1959. This report of the fourth session is reproduced in the FAO Fisheries Reports series by the Secretariat provided by the Director-General of FAO to the Continuing Working Party on fishery statistics in the North Atlantic area.
