Descripción
The purpose of this paper is to present the costs and structure of energy consumption in commodity
farms in Poland. There were analysed 4,900 individual farms, covered by FADN in 2004-2012. Research has
shown a growing importance of energy in agricultural production and a diversity of consumption depending
on the type of production and farm area. Moreover, a distinctive is the predominance of fuel in the structure
of energy consumption, which limits the possibilities for its replacement.
