Descripción
The paper summarises the important role of biomass/wood energy in ASEAN and other Asian countries. Benign environmental characteristics are elaborated. Prospects for enhancing modern applications are indicated, and the options for dendro-power are discussed. This paper was presented at the AEEMTRC / ASSN-NRSE conference "Renewable Energy for Project Developers, Users, Suppliers & Bankers" which was held from 22-26 May 1998 in Bangkok.
