The Second Inter-governmental Meeting on the Establishment of a Central Asian and Caucasus Regional Fisheries Organization (Trabzon, Turkey, 3-5 June 2009) was convened at the invitation of the Government of Turkey. The Meeting was hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) of Turkey and was organized by the Trabzon Central Fisheries Research Institute of Turkey. The meeting discussed, revised and accepted through consensus the draft ¿Agreement on the Central Asian and Caucasus Regional Fisheries and Aquaculture Commission¿. The meeting requested FAO to present the Agreement to the FAO Council and Conference in 2009. The Delegation of Kyrgyzstan to the meeting offered to host the third intergovernmental meeting in September 2010.
