Se plantea la situación y causas principales de la destrucción de los recursos forestales en la región centroamericana. Partiendo del avance acelerado de la deforestación, se destaca la importancia de crear mecanismos para poner en manos de los productores la información silvicultura y socio-económica existente. Se presenta el funcionamiento de una red Regional de diseminación la información sobre cultivo de árboles de uso múltiple. se recalca que este sistema que opera en diferentes niveles a través de canales institucionales existentes propicia mecanismo rápidos y efectivos de diseminación, cuando se pretende fortalecer los sistemas nacionales de desarrollo y transferencia de tecnología forestal y agroforestal.
The situation and main reasons for the destruction of forestry resources in the Central American region are analyzed. Departing from the high rate of creating mechanisms to put the silvicultural and socioeconomic information in the hands of producers is emphasized. The operation of a Regional network of information dissemination about growing multipurpose trees is presented. It is emphasized that this system operating in different levels through institutional canal properties fast and effective mechanisms of dissemination, when the objective is to fortify national systems of the development and transfer of forestry and agroforestry technology. --
