dc.descriptionThis chapter presents a review of some of the new and emerging challenges in the forestry sector in Small Island Developing States (SIDS). It focuses on the production and trade of forest products as well as the contribution of the sector to the economies of these countries. Although the forestry sector is not significantly affected by agricultural trade preferences, there are a number of issues in the area of international trade that are important to the sector and these are described i n this report.
