The feed industry is an complex and dynamic part of the agricultural sector. The animal feed sector depends on a number of sources for feed material, including crop production, the food industry, products deriving from the slaughter and processing of livestock, the marine industry and biofuels. Consequently, feed supply chains vary greatly depending on the specific raw material and its intended uses.
