The first quarter 2026 issue of the FAO Newsletter in Kyrgyzstan showcases the FAO’s support to national priorities at the intersection of food security, climate resilience and sustainable rural development. A key highlight is Kyrgyzstan’s integration into the Global Soil Doctors Programme, strengthening farmers’ capacities to manage soil health as a foundation for productive and resilient agriculture. Parallel efforts to advance food and nutrition systems include the launch of a new project to modernize school food and the ongoing development of national dietary targets using a food-systems-based approach.
