This Newsletter compilation under the title Farming Nigeria Water is yet another commendable output from the Aquaculture and Inland Fisheries Project of the National Special Programme for Food Security in Nigeria. The various editions of the Newsletter have taken us through a broad spectrum of outstanding, contentious and contemporary issues of Aquaculture and Inland Fisheries Development in Nigeria. This could not have come at a better time than now that a renewed vigour is being invested in increasing domestic fish production in order to bridge the ever-widening gap between fish demand and supply. This gap is as wide as about one million metric tonnes per year.
