| dc.description | Palisadegrass and Ruzigrass establishment with soybean in the north of Rio Grande do Sul state: grain yield The simultaneous establishment of warm season perennial grasses with soybean can anticipate the pasture utilization, serving as an alternative to minimize the fall forage shortage. The aim of this study was to evaluate forage DM yield of two grass species established in different plant densities with soybean. The experiment was conducted in the experimental area of Embrapa Trigo in Coxilha, Rio Grande do Sul state. The experimental design was a factorial (2x2x4) two species of Brachiaria, two soybean cultivars and four pasture densities, in a randomized complete block design, with three repetitions. Soybean yield was possible just on 1,5 kg ha-1 density because the intensive pasture competition resulting in few soybean plants. Grain yield and plant legume numbers were superior on 4910RR soybean planted alone, probably due to lower plant height of this cultivar reduce competition capacity in the mixture. Otherwise BRS 255RR soybean grain yield was not different planted isolated or associated with grasses. Specific soybean grain weight was not different among treatments, with average 149,1 g per 1,000 grains. It is feasible establish both perennial grass species associated with soybean alone with 1,5 kg ha-1 density. | |
